L’avunculaire
taquinerie t’exaspère
la nappe tu tires en l’air
et plaf le plat sur le père
Et le frêne
passe en courant sur les belles dentelles
gelant la querelle
Le cul en l’air,
les invités par terre
jappent sur l’éventaire
tombé sur la boulangère
Et le chêne
chute doucement comme une jarretelle
dessous le cheptel
L’oncle en colère
pose une main sur sa paire
relevant glandulaire

The avuncular
ribbing exasperates you
you yank the tablecloth aloft
splat the dish lands on dad
And the ash
runs over the pretty lacework
freezing the argument
Arses in the air,
the guests on the ground
yap about the stand
having fallen on the baker
And the oak
slips down like a garter
under the livestock
The irascible uncle
places a hand on his pair
glandularly toasting
the honour of his poor brother
At that, the goats
abruptly bleat the glad challenge
charging the umbrellas
Truant looks
on the gregarious faces
serve to invert
adversities, virtues and landmarks
The peat bog
is now mocking all the cocktails
If the eye of the dog links worlds, where does it come from?
But the dog’s eye, demon of links, doesn’t say where it comes from.

Oh well will you look at that look who’s here? It’s the little doggy who doesn’t wanna starve without his bit of sugar. On the lookout, over there he spots fallen dishes the guests had no time to pick up. There’s even chicken! It’s covered in dirt but you you’re gonna love it! There’s even nougat! But chocolate is bad for your health... Look, the humans are talking to you! You’re looking at them kindly, you seem to be asking if you’re entitled to eat that. But the dog’s already got his snout in the plate. He’s so satisfied he’s looking happily at everyone after every mouthful. Tense faces let the emotion start to show. Oh but oh but what are you up to, oh you just… You saw how much he likes that. Oh he’s stuffing himself but his sweetness doesn’t fade. Hey doggy come here, come here sweetie! But he’s already headed for the horizon. He’s chasing the sheep that were still hanging around the place. And they all stay alone.
